The Biennial Coming together will be held at Nascency Catholic Church Parish Centre, 7225 Southeastern Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46239 on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at xi:00AM with lunch served subsequently the meeting. Information regarding the meeting has been provided to all assemblies. Applications for the position of Master of the Indiana Commune will exist accepted at the coming together.

Nosotros had a successful exemplification on Saturday, February xix at Saint Malachy Parish, Brownsburg, with 26 members of the Knights of Columbus, including a transitional deacon receiving the honors of the 4th Degree. The event was hosted by Cardinal Ritter Assembly #3873, the newest assembly in Indiana. During the exemplification, the Assembly Lease was presented to Faithful Navigator Richard B. Rader, Jr. Immediate Past State Deputy Paul A. Zielinski was the class honoree.
We were besides honored to present the Associates Charter to Faithful Navigator Timothy L. Brown of the Fathers Glenn O'Connor and John Kasarda Assembly #3836 in Fortville on Sabbatum, January 29, 2022.
At that place will be a virtual exemplification on Saturday, March 26. Information has been sent to all councils, assemblies, and District Deputies.
Our next in person exemplification will be on Saturday, May 21, 2022, hosted by Father Badin Assembly #0244 in New Albany.

The Fourth Degree, also known as the Patriotic Degree, is the highest caste of the Knights of Columbus, and it exists to foster the spirit of patriotism, enlightened by our Catholic Faith. Information technology is a rewarding fashion to combine our Catholic heritage with our love of our land.
The Quaternary Degree is patriotism in action, i.eastward. Honor guards at Mass for confirmations, funerals, and memorial services, in improver to Color Corps representation at federal, land and local ceremonies, such as parades and wreath-laying ceremonies. The Fourth Degree is a visible reminder of our service to the community.
History of the Fourth Caste
In 1886, four years after our Lodge was established, Supreme Knight James T. Mullen proposed the patriotic degree and the Supreme Board of Directors canonical the formation of the 4th Degree in 1899. Forth with the improver of "patriotism" to the Knights' principles in 1900 came the start exemplification of the Fourth Caste which was held on Feb 22, 1900 in New York Urban center with a class of 1,100 Knights.
The Fourth Caste is currently organized into 21 geographical units known every bit provinces. Our province consists of the states of Indiana, Kentucky, and West Virginia, and is referred to as the Father Edward F. Sorin, C.S.C. Province. The executive officer of the Fourth Degree is the Supreme Master.
The executive officer of the province is the Vice Supreme Master. A province is further divided into districts, which normally (with few exceptions) coincide with state boundaries. Each district is presided over by an executive officer, the Master. Currently, in that location are 122 districts.
The Quaternary Degree is the Patriotic Caste of the Knights of Columbus, and it comprises over 17% of the membership of the Lodge. The distinctive regalia of Sir Knights make them the most visible arm of the Order to the public.
Purpose of the Quaternary Degree
- To promote and strengthen the patriotic spirit of the borough community
- To educate its members, and others, both in the teachings of Holy Mother Church, and the history of our nation
- To promote by instance the highest blazon of citizenship then necessary for the preservation and perpetuation of Republican form of government and its democratic institutions
- To oppose dissemination and spread of doctrine dangerous to our form of government, and to the Divine law of faith and morality
- To support by word and deed, the duly constituted regime of local, state, and national government, and to recognize excellence in public life
The Fourth Degree, both collectively and individually, supports those religious, civic, and charitable causes which are designed to implement i or more than of these five objectives.
